Colonel Shaw's Fame and Glory

Deploying to South Carolina, the 54th Massachusetts fought at James Island and Fort Wagner.  Shaw was killed leading his regiment to fame and glory. He was buried with his men in a common grave and they were together memorialized in a famous Boston monument.
