Ferry Farm

268 Kings Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22405, USA

Free to the public

Join us at Ferry Farm in honoring the Semiquincentennial!

Step back in time at Ferry Farm with Revolutionary War reenactors, immersive displays, and expert presentations. You can also explore George Washington’s reconstructed boyhood home and go behind the scenes at the archaeology site and lab.

The childhood home of George Washington will be drumming with the sounds of freedom by the Old Guard in a performance free to the public! Tracing its lineage to George Washington’s Continental Army, the Old Guard’s marching tunes hearken back to Revolutionary War times, giving listeners a glimpse of our nation’s storied past. Dressed sharply in bright red colonial coats, and with crisp delivery, they are certain to bring the sights, sounds, and stories of the nation’s founding to life.
Throughout the event, the Loyal Drums and Revolutionary War–era reenactors will enliven the ideas that shaped early America. Guests can also watch a live blacksmithing demonstration by Black Horse Forge , showcasing 18th-century craftsmanship.

You won’t want to miss a stirring 1:00 PM performance by The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps of Arlington National Cemetery.
