Magistrate’s Office

This ornament commemorates Stafford County’s oldest existing municipal building. The architecture, Late Federal, suggests it was constructed in the 1820s or 1830s. This small, red brick building was once used as a Customs Office, later as a magistrate’s office, as a voting precinct, and as a small museum.
